Marcus Deml has been an avid user of Andreas Kloppmann's pickups since 2008. This cooperation, which was very fruitful for both sides, resulted from a joint commitment at the Musik Messe in Frankfurt.
After hearing an HB59 set in his Les Paul, Marcus decided to pay tribute to his beloved 1963 Fender Stratocaster with an ST60 RwrP set.
The two sound tinkerers Deml and Kloppmann then created a special set for his black Strat with bridge humbucker and single coils (HSS): It consists of the revived “Real 62” Strat set (first Strat set by Kloppmann approx. 2001 to 2003) and a specially redesigned F-Spaced humbucker, the HB-DML.
The Real 62 Strat pickups sound a bit “thicker” than a serial ST60 set and thus also help a thinner-sounding Strat to achieve a respectable output.
The HB-DML can be split and is therefore “best of both worlds”: It offers an official single-coil tone and the singing, legendary Kloppmann humbucker lead tone.
